Help Chad and Michael Make an Album!

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

AFP band members Chad Raines and Michael McQuilken have entered the studio to record a full-length album.  They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the effort and are still (as of noon today) roughly $1,400 short of their budget!  A donation as small as a single dollar will get you a digital download of the finished album.  Please help these amazing musicians and awesome dudes reach their goal by Thursday, November 24th at 1:55PM EST.  Donate and learn more about the project (which will feature guest vocals from Amanda) HERE.  Proceeds from the album will be donated to The International Rescue Committee and to Move On.

Amanda has been visiting Occupy sites around the country, performing for protesters in L.A., Oakland, Portland, Vancouver, and Seattle during her recent west coast tour with Neil Gaiman.  Now, Amanda has teamed up with Boston filmmaker and friend Michael Gill to create a video montage of the national Occupy movement.  The film is set to Amanda’s ukulele version of the 1975 Leon Rosselson song “The World Turned Upside Down”.
